Cubist Quatrefoil Necklace: A SilverSilk & Soft Flex Collaboration Event
The Cubist Quatrefoil Necklace was born from a handful of gemstone cubes picked up at the Tucson Gem Show and a deep love of architectural detail, the quatrefoil motif has adorned cathedrals and tilework across the world for centuries, and I wanted to bring that same sense of artistry into a wearable design. This necklace is being featured as part of Soft Flex Customer Appreciation Week, one of my favorite events of the year. It brings together a wonderful community of small businesses and independent designers for a week of free jewelry making demonstrations, creative inspiration, and hands-on learning. Each presenter offers a unique kit you can follow along with, making it a perfect opportunity to discover new techniques and support the makers behind the work. I am so grateful to be included every year and I always come away inspired. I hope this design inspires you too!

The Cubist Quatrefoil Necklace is one of those designs that looks like modern art and comes together step-by-step. Once you get the hang of weaving the pendant loops, the whole piece starts to take shape fast. Using Soft Flex beading wire as your base, you'll build a woven gemstone pendant from cube beads, opalite rondelles, and then weave smooth quatrefoil gemstone beads for a rich, textured look. This kit comes complete with everything you need to make the necklace (perhaps even leftovers for a pair of bonus earrings) except jewelry tools, so you can jump right in.

This project is a partnership collaboration with Soft Flex Company for their annual Customer Appreciation Week. Customer Appreciation Week is one of my favorite events to be a part of. It brings together a wonderful group of small businesses and independent designers for a week of free jewelry making demonstrations, creative inspiration, and community celebration. Each presenter offers a unique kit you can follow along with, making it a great opportunity to learn new techniques and support the makers behind the work.
